To configure Zoho Directory as your Identity Provider (IdP) for the Saras Platform, follow the steps below.

1. Create Custom SAML App

  1. Log in to the Zoho Directory Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to Applications in the left sidebar and click Add Application.
  3. Click Create Custom App in the top-right corner.
  4. Enter the Application Name (e.g., Saras AI or Saras Finance).
  5. For SSO Mode, select SAML from the dropdown.

2. SAML Configuration

In the configuration screen, provide the Service Provider (SP) details using your unique Tenant ID provided by Saras.

Service Provider Details

  • Assertion Consumer Service (ACS) URL: https://ind-prod.sarasfinance.com/v1/saml/samlacs/<<YOUR_TENANT_ID>>
  • Issuer / Entity ID: https://ind-prod.sarasfinance.com/v1/saml/samlmetadata/<<YOUR_TENANT_ID>>
  • Sign-in URL: https://ind-prod.sarasfinance.com/v1/saml/samllogin/<<YOUR_TENANT_ID>>

Credentials & Name ID

  1. Name ID Format: Select Unspecified.
  2. Application Username: Select Primary Email Address.

Attribute Mapping

To ensure correct user identification, map the email claim as follows:
  • Attribute Name: http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/emailaddress
  • Format: Basic
  • Attribute Value: Primary Email Address
Click Create to save the application.

3. Assign Users

  1. After creating the app, click Assign Users.
  2. Select the specific users or groups who require access to the Saras Platform via SSO.

4. Details to share with Saras

To finalize the integration, download the Identity Provider (IdP) metadata and share the following with the Saras Support team:
  • Identity Provider Entity ID (e.g., https://accounts.zoho.com)
  • Login URL / SSO URL
  • X.509 Certificate
These details can be retrieved by selecting your application in the Zoho Directory Admin Panel and navigating to the Metadata or Configure tab.
